We had such an amazing response to the first course we ran in april, we are repeating the course for all those who missed out.
This comprehensive workshop, presented by Tim Mather, is a must for all horse owners and could very well save your horse's life. The day will cover things such as:
- examining and assessing a horse with colic,
- learn how to take heart rates in a horse,
- learn how to correctly assess and treat a wound on a horse,
- learn how to dress and bandage a wound correctly,
- learn how to apply pressure and support bandages correctly,,
- learn about general horse healthcare,
- learn how to assess the lame horse and work out where the problem is coming from,
- learn how to assess a horse with back pain,
- learn when to call the vet and when to treat a horse yourself,
- learn how to safely restrain a horse to help your vet.
This will be an all-day workshop with participants able to practice their new skills on some well behaved horses.
This workshop is a must for those who own horses or planning to buy one, regardless of what breed you are interested in, this course will be invaluable to horse owners and enthusiasts alike.
